A card for Oklahoma

Few days ago I received an email from BoBunny, saying that they will give a $20 gift card with each card handmade and sent by the end of the month to Oklahoma families.
It was a busy week end, but I found some times yesterday to make one and I will send it today to BoBunny :

I'm not an American Citizen, but I live in this country and this tornado hit my heart. I cannot think about it without tears coming to my eyes.

If you have some times, please make and send a card quickly to BoBunny, they will give them to Oklahoma families. Here is the détails :

Still into parties...

Birthday this time, with a card made for the Sketch-n-Scrap birthday bash contest !

It looks simple with few elements used, but let me tell you how I did it. On a white blank note card, I stamped in the middle a flowers and butterflies pattern (Inkadinkado) with purple Colorbox ink. I stamped the same pattern on a purple paper (1/2' less than the blank note) and cut it off. Then I dry emboss it with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and place it on the top of the card with adhesive foam square. I add a cut stamped image (butterfly and sentiment) with smaller squares.

So happy wishes to Sketch-n-scrap. Please cross your fingers for me to win this challenge !

Farewell my friend !

I told you I had some farewell parties this month. For Saturday's one, I created a souvenir for my friend, who's going back to France for few years. Even if we have share many playdates with our kids, school events, or birthday parties, I ended up with no pictures to scrap for her. But I really want to give her a piece of me, so I picked a great quote from one of my favorite writer, Paolo Coelho, and create a frame around it.

The quote means : "Who's used to travel knows there comes a time when he has to leave." And if you think it's difficult to leave, think about those who stays...

I used K&Company papers, flowers by Prima Marketing, Recollections and Making Memories, leaves by I am roses, and lace trims found at Hobby Lobby. I even add two small metal charms by Tim holtz, one fleur de lis and one star (for France and Texas). I used a digital image of a vintage postcard (you can find it on my board Printables on Pinterest here) and add some text on it before printing. I distress it with the Tim Holtz ink Vintage photo.

The week end is finally over, it's gonna be a lot more quiet. Maybe.

Birthday month

May is always a very busy month, filled with birthday parties, farewell parties (big expat community), end-of-the-year things at school... Yesterday was the dance party of my 12 years old daughter, and tomorrow will be one of my best friends birthday. So, I will show you today one of the card I was making these days.

I use a salmon scallop card, Sizzix background rub-ons, gel pens, black&white ribbon and chipboards given by an friend before moving back to France. It's an unusual birthday card, but it came to me like that, and I'm glad I finally used the chipboard.

I'm not done with cards this month, so you will probably see more soon.

One Paper Nest Dolls challenge

I was crafty yesterday and able to do two cards. One of them is a pinky card made to fit the Paper Nest Dolls challenge of this month : anything with pearls. I don't tell you about the other, I'll try it for publication.

I used Recollections papers, an acrylic stamp by Flonz, Copic markers, pearls by Want-2-scrap, Recollections washi tape, decorative scissors, distress ink by Tim Holtz and a rub-on from the Paper Company.

I don't know if this card will please enough to be picked, but it was fun to make and I'm glad to share it with you.

Bella Bvd warehouse box

I order one box a week ago, and it's already there ! That's a lot of papers, I wish I could have more embellishments, but it was a good deal... Look what's inside the box :

Papers, chipboard, flowers, buttons... you name it !
If you want to grab one, go to the Bella Bvd web site.

Now I only have 4 weeks left before my French summer, so many things to do with school ending, don't know if I will have time to play with it... or just store them !

Mask in and out

I know, I'm supposed to be in bed sleeping (it's past 12am), but these days I have so much to do during school time I don't have time to scrap or blog. And after school, homeworks, activities, dinner and hubby took what's left.

So before crawling into bed and sleeping like a stone, I will post this layout about a unusual ice skating place : on a boat (we were on a cruise). Not the best pictures from this trip (not me behind the camera, on the front for once), but I built this layout some times ago for a workshop about mask and different ways to use them.

I used a compass mask by Tim Holtz, white Colorbox ink, and ribbons with ATD and Thickers alpha stickers. You maybe can also see snowflakes stamps in the middle. I used the mask in two ways : as a mask with ink and as a template with white gel pen. Drawing a white gel pen square in the middle of the page makes the compass pop, and the center of the center looks brighter.

I have link this page to the ARTastic challenge about masks. Let's cross fingers for me to win.

Ok time to sleep before seeing dancing compasses...

Hey girl !

I hope you all have a great NSD this week end ! I wasn't able to scrap due to an awful migraine, but I always have hidden projects in my pocket, so I will be able to share one with you today !

I made this card with American craft paper and a Sizzix die, and decorate it with a lace ribbon, Thickers and stamps colored with Copic markers. The fan and flowers stamp is an Inkadinkado rubber stamp and the girl is an Flonz acrylic stamp.
I really really like the Flonz stamp. I bought two sheet of those acrylic stamps, both of them manga style. It fit perfectly my girly and late teen mood (I know you have one too).

I have already play with few of these stamps, I will show you the result soon.

Happy week y'all !

Thinking vacations ?

I do. I have planned my next summer vacations, so I got time to think about past ones. One of our trip most appreciated by my daughters is our RV trip around Las Vegas. And I begun its scrapbook with a picture taken at the airport. As every kids, my daughters love to take picture of themselves climbing on almost everything. No exception made for the arrival at Las Vegas.

A Scrapbalities paper as background, Prima Marketing leaves and flowers and few others from China, Thickers alpha stickers, Heidi Swapp grey mat, and my Cricut for the journaling.

It really was a great trip. Can't wait for the next...
