Snowflakes everywhere !

It's like it's snowing everywhere I'm not. South of France, Alps, Houston, of course Canada...but here nothing. We were supposed to be covered by two feet by now, but Spring is back (like 12C degree, trees are blooming...). Crazy weather.

So instead of showing you beautiful white Scottish landscape, I will just post a snowy card.

Recollections papers (I did told you bought a bunch...), white cardstock, Inkadinkado acrylic stamps, Tim Holtz firebrick distress ink.
I cut out the stamped snowflakes, and use square foam on 3 of them to give them some dimensions.

Tomorrow will be the last day to enter my little giveaway. If you're new to it, take a look at the rules (very simple ones) at this previous post.

Have a good week end !

Black Friday - Day 5

Are you an early bird ? I was. I did put my alarm clock at 5:45 (almost midnight in Houston) to hit the checkout button of my already prepared cart at CraftJunction. 50% off if you shop between midnight and 8AM. Now I plan to wait until noon to take a look at the Blitsy website. I really miss my shopping at Michaels today... But with only my first order, I already exceed the spending of last year.

Enough with the shopping. It's day 5 ! A simple but elegant card with non-Recollections papers. Yes I can do that. I did use KaiserCraft paper this time (guess what, another gift from Simply card & Papercrafts), the 6x6 Christmas Collections pad, with Inkadinkado stamps and Stazon brown ink.

I know, it's not a fancy card, but I did use my stash... Happy Black Friday y'all !

Happy thanksgiving but it's day 4...

I bet most of you are up early today, for early bird cooking or shopping. No bird for me to cook (not even sure I can find one here before mi-December) and no shopping. I did take a look at the first sales today but nothing temping yet. I will keep my money for tomorrow, I have two website in mind.

So I will just wish you Happy Holidays for now, with a snowy card :

Papers and tag came from a free gift (yeah again, I brought several magazines...) from Cardmaking & Papercrafts, ribbon by Galena, stamps by TPC Studio, marker by American Crafts, ink by Colorbok.

I stamped the snowy background in blue on light blue paper, then use a metallic blue marker on the edges of the stamp. It looks like I use a darker mat. The stamp on the envelope came from the same set of TPC stamps.

I hope you will have a fabulous Thanksgiving. Don't forget to tell the ones you care about that you love them. Thank you for reading me, scrapbooking is giving me some much satisfaction I'm glad to share it with you.

By the way, the giveway for this week ends Sunday, don't forget to follow me and to comment on one of the card... Thank you for that too.

Day 3 : Christmas dog card

Today I will show you a card that proves I improved my coloring skills ! The first coloring jobs I did were fun but plain. I'm more proud of this one, even if using white space is still hard for me.

Papers by Recollections (I know, I bought a bunch of them, but last year in January they were like $4 a pad...).
Dog stamp : Wild Rose Studio
Gifts and sentiment stamps : Carolyne Knott
Ink : Memento Tuxedo black
Markers : Copic Sketch R20, R27, R29, YG03, YG21, YG63, BG10, BG15, E31, E33, E09, E51

Stamps were a free gift in Cardmaking & Papercrafts issues. I DO love this magazine here in UK, they always come with fabulous freebies. You will see more Carolyne Knott's stamps in the following cards, I love their vintage look.

Thanks for those who had already followed me and leaved a comment. I do appreciate them. It gives me strength to create the last cards... 5 to go to reach the 30 ! If you have an Twitter or an Instagram account, you could see some sneak peeks of the last created cards.

See you tomorrow...

Day 2 : All over the page punch

Hi everyone !

For my 2nd card, I used the Martha Stewart "All over the page" punch, the diamond ring pattern, with Recollections papers on a blank 4x6 card. I cut the label from a free sheet of an "Simply cards & papercraft" issue. I think I found the ribbon a long long time ago at Target in the Spring one dollar section.

No sketch today, but a little trick. See the envelope behind the card ? I use the MS punch on it too ! I took the base of the punch and used it as a template with red gel pen to match the card.

It's a quick card but I love the result. Don't forget to follow me AND leave a comment on one of the card this week to win TWO packages of Prima Christmas Belle Fleur...

Thanks card with step-by step

Hello there !

I'm almost back from the dead (I mean from the no-internet-connection dead). I do have a connection. But it's not working... But I'm able to grab internet from time to time from a hotspot or a coffee shop, and the problem will be resolve over the week-end (fingers crossed).

So for today, I will share with you a card and its step-by-step. After all it's almost Thanksgiving (even if it's not a holiday here in Scotland, the girls have asked for turkey !), so it will be a thanks card.

What I used :

Papers from Hello beautiful, Lovey Dovey and Mr. Boy collection by Bella Blvd
white cardstock
Memento black ink
Thanks rubber stamp (unknow)
Glossy accents by Ranger, Advanced Tape Glider.
white card by Hobby Craft
What I did :

Cut out 6 flowers from one of the Hello Beautiful paper. Cut a grey stripe from the same collection's paper (4 ½ " long). Cut out a scallop border with a black border in the Mr. Boy paper (5/8 x 5 ¾ )
Cut a rectangle in the grey dot paper ( 2 ¾ x5 ¾ ) and another in the dark pink paper (1 ¼ x5 ¾ ).
Adhere the grey rectangle at the top of the card and the pink one at the bottom.
Glue the scallop stripe over the junction of the two rectangle. Place 3 flowers on the top of it.
Place the grey stripe at ½ from the bottom of the card, left side. Glue 3 flowers on the top of it, between the upper flowers.
Stamp the sentiment on white cardstock with black ink. Cut it out and place it at the end of the grey stripe.

Et Voila !

I have decided to do a lot of cards, in fact Christmas cards. I will show you soon all of them but one by one. You will have more informations on what I'm preparing soon, probably at the end of the next week... Stay tune for a surprise !

A workshop in Aberdeen !

What ? It's already been like a month since I blogged ?
It's not like I was laying on a beach... first I did fly to France, drove to the mountain, destroyed an old kitchen and dragged away the crushed parts, help built a new one, drove back to south of France, received one of my sea shipment, did a lot of administrative stuff, fly back to Aberdeen, move to another house and received the second sea shipment. And since three days, I try to unpack everything. BUT my scrapbook stuff are well in place.
pa
So, now tomorrow, I will have my very first workshop in Aberdeen, at The Papeterie. I will teach how to make this Christmas layout.

You will need 7 different papers, with at least two 12x12, distress ink and tool, paper distresser, decorative scissors, half pearls, poinsettias and leaves die-cuts, gold gel pen.
If you are in Aberdeen, the workshop take place at The Papeterie between 1 and 3PM. Please feel free to stop by, I always glad to see new faces.

I will get back to you probably Tuesday night, I will have an internet connection at home this day.

Have a great week end !
