Happy Monday !

Once in a while, Monday start with good news. Usually, it's just my cleaning-cooking-washing routine, but today I can add the happy dance to it... The new Life.Paper.Scrapbook issue is finally out and I did find one of my layout on page 73 ! Happy dance again.

Another thing to share with you is my new official Facebook page ! I don't want to brag that I'm an artist. I just want to share my projects with everyone in a separate FB page than my personal one. So you don't have to be my friend to see what I'm creating, and I will not flowing you with pictures of my dog ;-).

Now I can go to my routine (Argh!) and you can go too...
Wish you an happy Monday !

Gorjuss canvas

On Monday night, I have finished my last project and my desk was clean. And I felt a little weird. Usually, there is always two or three projects I need to work on, and my desk is never clean.
For few second the next day, I thought I will start my ribbon organization (cutting spool chipboards and transfer every ribbon I got, then organize them by color...). but nah ! Instead I grab my new stamp set and play with it...
On the same day, I found some cute mini canvas (3x3"), and they were perfect for a quick project.

I felt in love with this Gorjuss stamp set when I first saw it in store and couldn't leave without buying it. It's very unusual for me. I always think three or four times before buying anything. I did check the other stamp set and now I want more, but for those I will overthink...

So first I stamped this little cute girl on white paper and colored her with my Copic markers before cutting the stamp. I did covered one canvas with pink and purple distress ink (Holtz), then stamped a Prima Marketing design in purple (Fairy Belle collection). I distressed the mini roses (Prima Marketing) with purple. I stamped the leaves on a green paper (Woodware with Memento black ink).

The border came with the set, so I stamped and colored it before using it around the frame. It's really cute. I have absolutely no idea of what I will do with that. But I want to make another one...

Go do some craft now...

Graphic 45 tags

Hello !

I hope you all have a beautiful week end ! Our was a little bit surprising concerning the weather : sunny morning on Sunday, strong wind, snow 5mn, bright sunny again 15mn, snow storm 15mn, sunny... The wind is gone now, so I hope we can stick with sun for the week, but temperature has not recovered from this crazy day. Never mind ! I will stay home and do craft !

Speaking of which, I did some craft during the week end, with the leftovers from my Graphic projects : tags !

I just add some distress ink, ribbons and Prima Marketing flowers et voila ! Oh, just so you know, the small envelope was made with a McGill jumbo punch (I love this one, found it many years ago in a Tuesday Morning, never leaved my side since...).

I send you sunny thoughts. May those brighten your day !

Mar. IARDC : Spring !

Did I miss Spring ? I hope he will stay for more than day...He wasn't here yesterday, but did stop by today : beautiful sunny day ! To encourage him to stay, I should send him this card !

I made it with a Flonz stamp, Copics, Martha Stewart mold, Webster's Page lace, papers by K&Company, flowers by Recollections, Prima aMarketing and I Am Roses...To match the card, I did colored the white lace (hobby Lobby), the clay forms, flowers and leaves with a purple marker. The scalloped frame is cut with decorative scissors.

Do you think Spring is gonna like it and will stay forever ?

I will enter this card to the I Am Roses challenge for the purple/green combo. Wish me luck...

Greetings from Scotland !

This is the sentiment on my new card, made using Webster's Page lace, Prima Marketing flowers and an Some Odd Girl stamp with Copic :

This grayish blue and this yellowish green are the exact color of Scottish landscape ! I didn't put a lot of shade as the sun is a little pale over here... But even if it's 30F degree outside, you will see everybody in short sleeve if it's a sunny day !

If you like this Odd Girl, you can find Week end Kaylee in the files attached to the free ebook from Some Odd Girl website. You can download it here. I add a wall digi behind her, as we can find so many in Scotland...

Wish you a great day !

Color Me Scrappy Challenge #58

Hello !

Here we are for another color challenge with Color Me Scrappy

Give it a try, you could win a great prize. You have until the end of this month...

I have to tell, I did struggle to insert blue into this layout. I try letters, journaling spot, flower centers, even blue gel pen... It finally hit me : butterflies ! And it fit perfectly...

I use black chalkboard paper by DCWV, Sakura white gel pen for the doddling, Prima Marketing flowers, pearls by Recollections and Doddlebugs, alpha stickers by Webster's Page, and a small butterfly stamp by JB.
Tips of the day : I use the Martha Stewart circular cutter on the picture. Best result for a 4x6 picture : cut at 3 15/16". And at 4 1/8" for the round mat. If you are not sure where to place the center, try first using your finger instead of the cutter to visualize the circle.

Have a good day !

Feeling Sketchy challenge #84

Good morning !

Another great card sketch for this challenge by Feeling Sketchy ! Flower and ribbon sound just right for me !

Here is my contribution as one of their DT members :

I know, it looks like Valentine's card, but who says you can only send love on February ?

I use a blank white card with K&Company paper, Recollections roses, baker twine and lace found at Hobby Lobby. I put some pink paper with a tiny stamp behind the small trinkets (Jewelry Fundamentals) and cover the inside with Glossy Accents.

Come and play with us with this sketch, you can win some goodies from Molossi and The Trinket Track !

Graphic 45 Design Team Audition 2014

Hi everyone !

I'm here today to present 6 projects I made for the Graphic 45 DT call, so it's gonna be the longest post I ever made !

First a layout, made with the Bohemian Bazaar collection (you know I love bright) :

I did play with paint and modeling paste (Reeves)... The dots are made with the left-over of small round self-adhesive foams. I use foam stamps (Making Memories) with modeling paste for the flourishes.
Ribbon by Recollections, flowers by Prima Marketing, leaves by I Am Roses, alpha stickers by Thickers, enamel dots by Freckle Fawn.
I cut the red paper with my Cricut Expression and the Elegant Edges cartridge.

Second, a card with the same collection :

As you may know, I'm French, so for once I use a French word for the sentiment. "Merci" means "Thank you". The yellow lace was a gift from my mother-in-law, but everything else is Bohemian Bazaar. I cut out the flowers from the same sheet than the background.

As I still have left-over from this collection, I was able to make this :

It's a small clipboard (Target) I altered with a K&Company green  paper (not enough G45 left for this project...), Echo Park washi tape, blue (Hobby Lobby) and yellow (Webster's Page) laces, and stickers and papers from G45.
I plan to write chores on the distressed white paper sticks with number. Each time one of my daughter has done one, she can put the stick into her pocket. By the end of the day, each stick has a value of one point. Inside the pockets are small sheet, where could be written points and goals for the month.

Done with the Bazaar ! Let's play now with the "A ladies' diary" collection !

I altered a Graphic 45 match box by painting with vanilla and distressed it with Vintage Photo ink by Tim Holtz.
Few Prima Marketing and Recollections flowers, some I Am Roses leaves, black lace, crystal flourishes colored with Copic marker and one sheet of paper.

For the next project, I used Tropical Travelogue paper, 2 sheets of the same paper in fact. It's cute mini album in the shape of a passport ! The only additional products I used are 3 stamps and Vintage Photo distress ink.

A lot prettier than the official passport, don't you think ?

At last but not least (I always keep the better for the end), a paper dress :

Of course I had to use the Glimse of Paris paper from Kraft Reflections Collection (G45) ! It's a dress and I'm French !
Barbie was a contributor to this creation (as a model for the corset), as well as my husband (he made the drill for the back ribbon). Beside the G45 paper, I use pink tissue paper, Mod Podge, corner punches by Martha Stewart, laces by Webster's Page and Hobby Lobby, ribbon found at Michaels, pearls by Want 2 Scrap, and Prima Marketing roses.

My daughter order the same dress, but even if she's still tiny, I will not have enough papers... That's a challenge I will love to take one day. A wedding dress maybe ?

You are now free to return to your life, I hope I gave you some ideas for your next projects. And to the G45 team, I hope you liked what I had created for you.

See you soon !

Chinese friendship card

Good morning (or evening, or night...) !

I will show you today a card I made with Bo Bunny papers. I fussy cut the tower and use my black Copic to write the symbol of friendship. If there any Chinese reader over there, my apologies if I made any mistake...

Check my blog tomorrow, I will have a long post with 6 projects to share...

Feeling Sketchy March layout #83

Hello everyone !

Today I'm sharing with you my take on the Feeling Sketchy Challenge. This sketch is for a layout, so grab your stash and give it a try to win prizes from Molossi and The Trinket Track !

For once, I used a white scrapbook paper as background. Very unusual. I sprayed olive mist by Smooch Spritz over a Tim Holtz flourish mask, and cut banners in left over papers by K&Company. I cut some ribbons in the same shape (Making Memories, Scrapabilities), even made a small bow to attach a trinket (Jewelry Fundamentals). The frame was made with a K&Company border and a Ek Success border punch. Title made with alpha rub-ons by Making Memories. I really love rub-ons, too bad they are not trendy anymore because I would like to buy a bunch of these alphas. I get lucky sometimes at Tuesday Morning, but seems I will not go there in a while...

Have fun with this new sketch and I hope to see you soon on the Feeling Sketchy Blog...

Etoile des neiges (Snow star)

This title came from a well-known French song, a love song in the snowy mountains. It came back to me every time I am in the Alps... Yes, I'm in love with my small mountain village and, yes, I have to share some pictures of it with you !

As you can see, we did have some snow ! And as my daughters are older now, I was even able to ski everyday !

We came back on Sunday, with goods memories and one twisted knee for my youngest (don't worry, she's so happy to go back to school with crutches...). And now I can go back to my scraproom !

I hope you got good vacations too if you had a winter break. If not, I hope you had a good time anyway.
See ya !

Surprise !

I'm on the Color Me Scrappy DT ! Oh fun it will be to play with all these great color boards ! Let's begin today with my first contribution based on this picture :

My daughter is running with our dog when he was 4 months old on a Galveston beach. We rented a beach house there, where I could watch the kids on the beach while resting on a lounge chair on the terrace. The dog is now huge and we can no longer run barefoot on the beach in summer dress...

Background is a Webster's Page paper, painted with blue acrylic. I used Liquid Pearls with a Tim Holtz stencil to obtain the silver dots. Flowers by K&Company.

Come see what the other DT members create for this challenge and give it a try yourself ! You can win this prize :

See you soon...
