Altered phone case video tutorial

Well my friends, I finally made a video for a complete project ! Can you believe it ? I still have to improve my video skills, but I would appreciate if you take a look at it. Here is a picture of the final project :

I used a lot of glimmer mists (Olive Vine, Tattered Leather and Red Barn), 7Gypsies paper and tissue tapes, Prima Marketing flowers and stamp, along with lace and metal embellishments.

You can watch the full video on YouTube or here :

I hope it will inspire you to refurbished your old phone case...

Have a nice day !

Feeling Sketchy challenge #127

Hello !

For this new sketch from the Feeling Sketchy blog, I create a card perfect for a coffee gift card  or just for a men :

I used the adhesive mat stack in neutral tones by DCWV, the high tack double sided adhesive by Xyron. The sketch was very helpful, as well as the digistamp from our sponsor, Bugaboo :

Enter your project by the end of the month to play and maybe win some digis !

Have a nice one !

Prima August BAP sketch challenge

Hello scrappy friends !

Despite the heat and my children, I did manage to create something for the August BAP challenge...
I took a lot of old Prima flowers out the closet for this layout, and used gesso and glimmer mists on them to match my papers :

First, I built my background with a Prima Marketing paper by using 3 masks (Prima) with a pen (Faber-Castell), and misting around Gold glimmer mist (Tattered Angels). Some Vintage photo distress ink (Ranger) on the edges, drops of Tattered Leather glimmer mist (Tattered Angels), and stamp (Prima Marketing).

Some close-ups :

Teared brown paper (Prima Marketing) with stamped modeling paste and Tattered Leather mist to add some dimensions.

All of the embellishments have been covered with gesso and misted : laces (Prima), wood veeners (Prima and other), flowers (Prima).

This layout took me some times, but I'm very pleased with the results.

See you soon...

DCWV August card sketch challenge

You already saw my layout for the DCWV sketch challenge and if you were curious you maybe saw my card too... Anyway, let me show you this card now :

I made it with the Little Miss stack that DCWV send me to play with it (we, guest DT members, are sooo lucky), hand cutting the balloons and the banners to fit this sketch :

If you didn't already try the sketches, go scrap somewhere ! You could be featured, or better, a winner at the end at the month...

DCWV August layout sketch challenge

In one of the surprise package I've received from DCWV lately as a DT member, there was a beautiful stack I know it would be perfect for the new DCWV sketch... the Happy Day stack !
I found everything in my layout in this stack, except the white alphas :

Compare it to the sketch from pagesmaps...

At the end of the month, 10 submissions will be featured on the DCWV blog, and 4 winners will be pick. so don't hesitate to participate !

Feeling Sketchy challenge #126

Hello !

What about a birthday card to start this month ?
This month challenge at Feeling Sketchy, we had a sketch with circles :

I had the perfect set of stamps (Inkadinkado) for that... It's the same I used for this layout. The technique of this card is not complicated, you just need to be careful. Take a look first :

So you probably are asking yourself how I cut the design to match the stamp, hum ?
First you need to stamp with an ink who can stay wet a long time. I used the Mix'd Media inx by Donna Salazar Design in dark gray. When it's still wet, place your already cut paper (the blue one for me) over the stamped one (the white in the picture) and press gently. The stamp will reversed on the back of your paper so you can easily cut it off ! But be careful to dry the stamp paper before doing anything else or you will have ink everywhere...

Isn't it a cool technique ? I should probably make a video out of it...
If you like the pattern papers, they came from the Coral and Navy stack by DCWV (I was lucky to receive them in my guest DT kit...), and the small birthday sticker is by Heidi Swapp.

So if you want to play with the sketch, you can upload your project to the Feeling Sketchy blog. We have a great sponsor this month : Lacy Sunshine !

See ya !
